MARESA AmeriCorps Members are past the half-way point of the year!
Upon successful completion of a term of service, AmeriCorps members receive an educational award of $5,815 from the Corporation for National and Community Service. Segal Education Awards are considered taxable income in the year they are used to pay student loans or used for college tuition. AmeriCorps members are eligible to receive education awards for a total of two full-time terms, if they reapply and are selected for a second year.
